China - A Partner of a New Level. Results of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' Work for 2025

At a press conference, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, Jeenbek Kulubaev, summarized the results of the ministry's work over the past year.
According to him, in 2025, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs continued to implement a multi-vector foreign policy aimed at strengthening mutually beneficial relations with various countries.
“Last year was a time of active diplomatic activity for us. We focused on several key tasks: completing long negotiations on the state border, chairing the CSTO and the SCO, as well as starting the chairmanship in the SCO, which allowed us to expand our circle of international allies,” the minister noted.
Kulubaev emphasized that the number of meetings and contacts at both bilateral and multilateral levels significantly increased — about 190 various events were held over the year, of which approximately 60 took place in Kyrgyzstan and 130 outside its borders.
The minister also noted that in 2025, Kyrgyzstan and China became strategic partners of a new level, which was solidified by the signing of 33 bilateral documents during two presidential visits to China. In addition, relations between Kyrgyzstan and Mongolia transitioned from a status of friendship to a deeper comprehensive partnership.
One of the most significant successes of the republic's foreign policy, Jeenbek Kulubaev noted, was the resolution of issues related to the state border.
