Kamchybek Tashiev: I do not aspire to the power of Sadyr Nurgozhoevich or to the presidency

Kamchybek Tashiev, who holds the position of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, recently stated in an interview that he is not interested in the presidency.

In a conversation with journalist Aibek Biibosun uulu in a documentary film, he noted that their friendship with Sadyr Japarov has withstood many trials. However, there are ill-wishers seeking to destroy their alliance. Tashiev confirmed that their personal and political ties remain strong.

“The relationship between me and Sadyr Nurgozhoevich, our views and paths in politics coincide. This is clear to the Almighty. We do not support each other for the sake of power or material wealth. We are united by our love for our homeland and the people of Kyrgyzstan. We are on the same wavelength,” he added.

“Some claim that friendship in politics is impossible and try to pit us against each other by devising various plans. They hope that if we quarrel, it will benefit them. But these hopes will collapse. I do not aspire to the power of Sadyr Nurgozhoevich or to the presidency,” Tashiev emphasized.

He also noted that he has no intention of taking power from Sadyr Nurgozhoevich for himself. “We have no disagreements, and this contributes to the development of the state and the resolution of many issues. This will continue in the future. Our friendship can only be broken by death,” Tashiev concluded.
