Sadyr Japarov spoke about the turning point at which Jeenbekov could have retained power
He noted that he felt the support of the people, and his associates, with whom he communicated while in detention, conveyed the mood of society to him. Additionally, Japarov read numerous comments on social media expressing citizens' trust in him.
Kamchybek Tashiev added that the morning of October 6 would remain in their memory forever, as on that day they first reached out to the people after many years. This moment became the starting point of a new history.
Japarov also admitted that during that period there was a threat of destabilization, as the influence of "third forces" continued to be felt in the country.
The president recounted: "The period from October 6 to 16 felt like a whole century to me. External forces demanded that Sooronbay Jeenbekov remain president while I took the post of prime minister. They promised that after that new elections would be held, after which Jeenbekov would step down. But I did not agree to this because I understood that if Jeenbekov stayed, he could hold onto power forever, while I would only spend two or three months in my position," he noted.
At the same time, the president did not specify which forces proposed such a scenario.
