As explained by Nurgazy Doolotov, the head of road enterprise No. 41, traffic on this section may be halted for a period of 10 days to two weeks. This is due to the ongoing threat of repeated rockfalls from the slopes.
Currently, specialists from the enterprise are monitoring the condition of the mountain slopes.
In addition, at the 39th kilometer of the Bishkek — Naryn — Torugart highway, in the Kara-Unkur gorge, there is a risk of snow avalanches. Warming is leading to minor spontaneous slides in some areas.
Drivers are strongly advised to maintain a distance of at least 500 meters and strictly follow the traffic rules.
