At the recent meeting, the deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh unanimously supported the candidacy of Jumgalbek Shabdanbekov for the position of head of the State Committee for National Security.
According to information provided by Bektur Zulpiyev, the representative of the president and the cabinet of ministers in parliament, Jumgalbek Kumarovich Shabdanbekov was born in 1970 in the village of Chayek, located in the Jumgal district of the Naryn region. He has a higher education, having graduated in 1991 from the Faculty of Economics of the Kyrgyz National University named after J. Balasagyn, and since 2022, he has held the rank of Major General. He began his career in 1991 at the Talas Tax Inspectorate, where he worked as a senior inspector, and from 1994 to the present, he has held various responsible positions in the GKNB, the State Guard Service, the Anti-Terrorism Center, counterintelligence, the R-Department, and AKS, and also headed the 9th service.
