Antimonopoly Service: Decision on Extending Price Regulation for Meat Has Not Yet Been Made

In Kyrgyzstan, state regulation of meat prices will continue until the end of 2025. This was announced on the radio by Muratbek Imankulov, Deputy Chairman of the Antimonopoly Regulation Service under the Ministry of Economy.

As of August 7, 2025, maximum prices for beef and lamb have been introduced, which were established after market analysis showed an increase in meat product prices.

Imankulov noted that the maximum prices prohibit sales above the established level, while sales at a lower price are allowed. In particular, in Bishkek, the maximum price for bone-in beef is 680 soms per kilogram, and for bone-in lamb, it is 670 soms.

According to the deputy head, the duration of state regulation is 90 days. Initially, this regulation was supposed to end in November; however, its validity has been extended until December 31, 2025. The question of further extensions remains open for now.
