The Antimonopoly Service reported on measures to curb prices for socially significant goods in 2025

- In 2025, the antimonopoly service significantly increased its efforts compared to previous years due to rising prices for meat products. This was reported on the air of a radio station by Muratbek Imankulov, Deputy Chairman of the Antimonopoly Regulation Service under the Ministry of Economy.

He noted that in response to this situation, state control measures were implemented. In addition, active work was carried out to monitor prices for socially significant goods and fuel and lubricants.

“The list of socially significant goods, approved by the government decree of the Kyrgyz Republic No. 455, includes 16 items. Among them are flour, sugar, vegetable oil, and other everyday goods,” Imankulov added.

According to him, as of December 2025, the market situation is characterized by stability.

“Currently, no significant price increases are observed. However, when comparing current figures with the beginning of 2025, a slight price increase in the range of 7-10% can be noted. This increase is caused by inflationary processes and rising global prices. Overall, the price situation remains stable,” he explained.

In addition, Imankulov reported on meetings held with representatives of the Presidential Administration and relevant ministries, including the Ministry of Agriculture, where measures to curb prices were discussed with owners of retail outlets and markets.
