The price of Brent oil fell below $60 for the first time since December 2025.
As of 10:39 Bishkek time, the price of Brent crude oil decreased by 0.89 percent, amounting to $59.97 per barrel. By 10:51, there was a slight slowdown in the decline — the price was $60.06 per barrel, corresponding to a decrease of 0.74 percent.
Brent crude is a benchmark grade extracted from the North Sea, located between Norway and the United Kingdom. The name comes from the eponymous oil field discovered in 1970, with production starting in the mid-1970s. Brent has become the primary index in the physical oil market.
