On March 28, a warning was issued for wet snow and blizzards in the northern regions, as well as strong winds in the southern part of the country.
The overall precipitation picture: most of the territory will be cloudy. Snow is expected at night in the eastern part of the western aimags, as well as in the northern and western parts of the central aimags. During the day, snowfall may affect the southeastern areas of the western aimags and certain parts of the central, eastern, and Gobi aimags. No precipitation is expected in the remaining regions.
Wind: at night in the western regions and during the day in the eastern regions, the wind direction will change from southwest to northwest, with a speed of 5-10 meters per second, and in some places, it may reach 13-15 meters per second.
Temperature regime: at night in the area of the source of the Zavkhan River and in the valleys of the Baidrag, Ider, and Tes rivers, the temperature will drop to -10–15°C. In the mountainous areas of Altai, Khangai, Khubsugul, and Khentii, as well as in the valleys of Terelj and Khalkh, temperatures are expected to range from -5 to -10°C. In the southern part of the Gobi region, temperatures will be between 0…+5°C, in the foothills of the Khangai Mountains and the northern part of the Gobi region - +2…-3°C, and in other parts of the country - 0…-5°C. During the day, temperatures in the areas of Lake Uvs and the Darhad Basin, as well as at the source of the Zavkhan River and in the valleys of the Ider, Tes, and Baidrag rivers, will fluctuate from -3 to +2°C. In the mountains of Khangai, Khubsugul, and Khentii, as well as in the valleys of the Tuul and Terelj rivers, temperatures are expected to range from -1 to +6°C, in the Gobi and Dariganga steppe, temperatures will be -10…+15°C, and in other regions - from -4 to +9°C.
In the vicinity of Ulaanbaatar, cloudy weather with light precipitation is expected. The wind will change direction from southwest to northwest at a speed of 6-11 meters per second, reaching 13-15 meters per second in some places. The relative humidity of the air will be 66%, and the atmospheric pressure will be 867 hPa. The temperature in the Yarmag-Songino area will be around -2…-4°C, in other parts of the city about 0°C, and during the day - +2-+4°C.
