On February 6, significant cooling is forecasted in various regions of Mongolia, and on February 7, frosts will intensify, especially in the eastern part of the country.
Most regions will experience overcast weather, with no precipitation expected. The northwestern wind, with speeds of 5-10 meters per second, may strengthen to 12-14 meters per second in the steppe and Gobi regions.
The temperature around Lake Uvs, the Darhad Basin, and along the Tes, Orkhon, Kharaa, and Yeruu rivers will range from -28 to -33°C. In the basins of the Zag-Baidrag, Ider, Eg, Uur, Selenge, Tuul, Terelj, Kherlen, Onon, and Ulz rivers, as well as in the Khalkh River valley and the Darygansky steppe, temperatures will be between -22 and -28°C. In the Altai Mountains and the foothills of the Khangai Mountains, temperatures are expected to be from -6 to -11°C, while in the southeastern parts of the Gobi, temperatures will range from -10 to -15°C, and in other areas, from -15 to -20°C.
In Ulaanbaatar, the weather will be variable, with cloudiness and no precipitation. The wind will blow from the northwest at a speed of 3-8 meters per second, and the air temperature will be -15...-17°C.
At 5 AM, the temperature in Ulaanbaatar was recorded at -26°C, with a relative humidity of 67 percent and atmospheric pressure at 879 hectopascals. Throughout the day, the pressure will remain stable.
