As of February 4, a cold snap and strong storm winds are observed in northern Mongolia.

Most of the territory is covered with clouds. Snowfalls and blizzards are expected in the western and northern parts, as well as in some areas of central and eastern Mongolia.

The wind will change direction from southwest to northwest, with speeds of 5-10 meters per second, and in some places it may reach 12-14 meters per second.

The air temperature around Lake Uvs, the Darhad Basin, and in the valleys of the Tes, Orkhon, Kharaa, and Yeruu rivers ranges from -23 to -28°C. In the basins of the Zag-Baidrag, Ider, Eg, Uur, Selenge, Tuul, Terelj, Kherlen, Onon, and Ulz rivers, in the valley of the Khalkh river, and in the Darygansky steppe, the temperature will be between -17 and -22°C. In the Altai Mountains and the foothills of the Khangai Mountains, the temperature will be -5 to -10°C, while in the southeastern part of the Gobi it will range from +1 to -4°C, and in other areas, the temperature fluctuates between -16 and -18°C.

In Ulaanbaatar, cloudy conditions with light precipitation are expected at night, while during the day the cloud cover will decrease, and there will be no snowfall. The wind will shift from southwest to northwest at a speed of 5-10 meters per second. At night, the temperature in the Yaarmag-Songin area will drop to -26…-28°C, in other areas to -21…-23°C, while during the day it is expected to be -17…-19°C.
