The Embassy of Iran in Kyrgyzstan commented on the "internal state events"

In a press release published by the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Kyrgyz Republic, recent events in the country are highlighted.
The document emphasizes that peaceful assemblies in Iran have official recognition according to domestic legislation, and there is a legislative framework for expressing demands and protests.

The embassy outlines four key stages in the development of events.

The first stage (December 28-31) was characterized by peaceful demonstrations, which mainly took place in shopping centers and among trade unions.

“The government promptly interacted with representatives of trade unions and entrepreneurs, listening to their demands. Some economic requests were included in the agenda, and dialogue became a substitute for demonstrations,” the statement notes.

In the second stage (January 1-7), new participants joined the protests, leading to violent clashes.

According to the embassy's data, from January 8 to 10, armed terrorists infiltrated the ranks of demonstrators, opening fire on police and civilians.

Since January 10, the situation, according to the embassy, has been under control.

The press release also addresses the issue of foreign interference, which has caused unrest; in response, peaceful actions took place on January 12.

It also reports significant destruction, including:
  • the arson of about 200 shops in various cities;
  • attacks on 53 fire trucks, 8 of which were completely disabled, as well as the arson of 180 ambulances;
  • the destruction of 26 banks in the capital;
  • the demolition of 25 mosques in the capital;
  • damage to 53 mosques across the country;
  • attacks on government buildings, police stations, and state property; over 1,300 weapons were seized from the terrorists.
In conclusion, it is emphasized that the right to peaceful protest is recognized worldwide; however, no country can allow unrest, arson of state property, terrorism, and shooting at civilians and law enforcement officers.
