The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan recommends refraining from trips to Iran
According to the latest official data, as of January 6, 2026, there is no information about citizens of Kyrgyzstan who have been affected during the protests in Iran.
In light of this situation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic strongly recommends its citizens to avoid traveling to Iran unless it is urgent or necessary.
For those who are already in Iran, the Ministry strongly advises:
- to be particularly vigilant and cautious;
- to stay away from places where large groups of people gather, as well as from demonstrations and protests;
- to follow the instructions of local authorities and law enforcement agencies;
- to carry identification and contact information for the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic;
- to closely monitor official statements from local authorities and diplomatic missions.
The Ministry continues to closely monitor the current situation and will promptly inform citizens of any possible changes if necessary.
