On March 29, the next stage of the Open African Cup took place in the capital of Senegal, Dakar.
Ratbek competed in the weight category up to 81 kg, where 19 athletes participated.
In his first match, the Kyrgyz athlete won against a judoka from Senegal; however, in the quarterfinals, he was unable to advance further as he lost to an Algerian opponent.
Nevertheless, in the consolation tournament, Jumanaazarov first defeated a representative from Morocco, and then in the bronze medal match, he proved to be stronger than the athlete from Algeria.
