In the semifinals, Akmataliev met a representative from Kazakhstan, where in the last second of the match, he executed a decisive throw worth 4 points, securing his victory.
In the final match, the Kyrgyz athlete faced an American competitor and finished the bout with a score of 3:2 in his favor.
Thus, in the final protocol, Ernazar took first place and became the holder of the gold medal.
The bronze medal in the same weight category was awarded to Zalkarbek Tabaldiev.
