Nursultan Keneshbekov took 6th place at the Asian Cross Country Championship

Athlete from Kyrgyzstan Nursultan Keneshbekov finished in 6th place at the Asian Cross Country Championship held in Japan.

This competition, the 18th in its series, took place on February 21 in the city of Fukuoka.

In the men's 10 km race, 25 athletes participated from countries such as Bangladesh, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Singapore, Thailand, the Philippines, and Japan.

Three runners from Kyrgyzstan took part in the race, with Nursultan Keneshbekov achieving the best result, completing the distance in 30 minutes and 16 seconds. He finished 56 seconds behind the athlete from Japan who took first place.

Jusup Sulayman uulu finished 7th (+1 minute 46 seconds), while Tilekzhan Zhenshenaly uulu came in 10th (+2 minutes 40 seconds).

In the team standings, the Kyrgyz team won a silver medal, finishing in 2nd place.

Among women in the 10 km distance, Anara Abdykaparova from Kyrgyzstan finished in 17th place with a time of 43 minutes and 56 seconds.
