The recommendations include a list of agricultural goods and food products, highlighting BRICS countries where the conditions for sales are more or less favorable.
More favorable conditions include:
low import customs duties (up to 10%), limited import supplies to the market from countries with free trade agreements (up to 35%), the presence of active supplies from the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union, and the provision of preferential tariffs for these countries.
Less favorable conditions imply:
moderate import duties (up to 20%), an average level of import supplies from countries with free trade agreements (up to 75%), as well as the presence of significant competitors with preferential access.
BRICS
The term BRIC (Brazil, Russia, India, China) was first used by economist Jim O'Neill from Goldman Sachs to describe four countries that could take leading positions in the global economy by 2050 if the current growth rate continues. The first informal meetings of representatives from these countries took place in 2006 at the United Nations General Assembly.
At the first summit in 2009, participants reaffirmed their commitment to a multipolar world and global non-interference, and proposed creating a new global reserve currency as an alternative to the dollar. In 2011, the Republic of South Africa joined the group, leading to a change in the abbreviation to BRICS. Currently, the organization includes: Brazil, China, Egypt, Ethiopia, India, Iran, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, and the UAE.
