According to the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports, Nursultan Keneshbekov became the silver medalist of the Asian Championship held in China. The competitions took place from February 6 to 8 in Tianjin, and athletes from Kyrgyzstan demonstrated outstanding results.
On the first day of the championship, Iskender Chokaev ran the 800 meters in 1 minute 56.83 seconds, which allowed him to take 10th place. In turn, Ruslan Litovsky finished 14th in the 400 meters with a time of 49.57 seconds.
On the second day, in the 3000 meters race, Nursultan Keneshbekov won the silver medal, completing the distance in 7 minutes 55.06 seconds. Also in this discipline, Jusup Sulayman uulu showed a result of 8 minutes 23.71 seconds and took 5th place.
Thus, following the results of the second day of the competition, Nursultan Keneshbekov became the holder of the silver medal of the Asian Championship.
