Nursultan Keneshbekov Sets Kyrgyzstan Record at the Asian Championship in China

At the Asian Indoor Athletics Championships held in China from February 6 to 8, Nursultan Keneshbekov once again demonstrated outstanding results.

On February 6, the preliminary heats for the 1500 meters took place, where Keneshbekov participated in the first heat. He confidently won it, clocking a time of 3 minutes 50 seconds, which allowed him to advance to the final.

The final race took place on February 8, and the Kyrgyz athlete finished second, winning the silver medal. His result in this race was 3 minutes 44.75 seconds, which set a new record for Kyrgyzstan in the indoor 1500 meters.

It is worth noting that the previous record (3 minutes 45.85 seconds) also belonged to Keneshbekov and was set in 2024 at a tournament held in Ust-Kamenogorsk (Kazakhstan).
