The Ministry of Transport announced which roads will be repaired and built in 2026

Attention will be focused on strategic routes, bypass roads, and projects in the regions



In 2026, Kyrgyzstan plans to carry out extensive repair and construction work on roads. The press service of the Ministry of Transport reported that as part of state capital investments, the renewal and construction of 700 km of roads is planned, as well as an additional 457 km according to the Title List.

Currently, work is ongoing on key highways funded by the state budget, such as Balykchy–Bokonbaev–Karakol, Naryn–Bayetov, Ala-Buka–Zhanibazar–Kirovka, and Safarovka–Barpy.

Work will also continue on several strategically important projects, including additional structures on the alternative North–South route, the Barskoon–Bedel road, the northern bypass road of Bishkek, as well as sections of Lebedinovka–GES-5, Bishkek–Kant, Arashan–Chunkurchak, and Bishkek–Kuntuu–Shopokov.

As part of investment initiatives, the reconstruction of the Suusamyr–Talas–Taraz road (Phase IV, 93 km) and the section from Korumdu to Balbay Baatyr (79.3 km), as well as the road from Barskoon to Karakol (75 km) will continue.

Among the new projects, the construction of Profsoyuznaya Street, the road to the new Osh market, the bypass road of Cholpon-Ata, as well as the reconstruction and construction of roads in the Issyk-Kul region, including the route to the "Jyrgalan" ski base and the Zheti-Oguz resort, are planned.

The Ministry of Transport noted that changes and additions may arise during the implementation of the projects.
