The Jogorku Kenesh adopted a bill on state awards that sparked debates among deputies

On March 19, the third reading of the bill on state awards, honorary titles, and prizes took place in the Jogorku Kenesh.

The project introduces new state awards for the Kyrgyz Republic, which are divided into categories:

Additionally, the following honorary titles will be introduced:

Furthermore, a state prize named after Kasym Tynystanov will be established for achievements in science and technology, while the prize named after Toktogul in the field of literature and art will remain in effect.

It should be noted that in the proposed version, the Cabinet planned to significantly reduce the total number of awards, honorary titles, and prizes from 48 to 20, excluding titles such as "People's Artist", "People's Writer", "People's Painter", "Genius of the Kyrgyz Republic", and "Pride of the Kyrgyz Republic". This initiative sparked heated discussions in parliament.
