Passes of Kyrgyzstan: the road is open, clearing is underway
According to information from the Ministry of Transport, all roads of both local and international significance, as well as mountain passes in Kyrgyzstan, are open for traffic.
As of March 12, 2026, traffic is free on the following passes: Chiyrchyq, Taldyk, Ton-Murun (the Osh–Sary-Tash-Erketcham road); Chapchima (Ala-Buka-Zhany-Bazar-Kirovka); Too-Ashuu, Ala-Bel, Kok-Bel (Bishkek-Osh); in the Boom Gorge, as well as on the Myrzake-Kara-Kulja-Alaykuu road; on the Dolon, Char, Ak-Beyit, Tuz-Bel, Kubak, Kyzyl-Bel passes (Bishkek-Naryn-Torugart); on the Otmok pass (Taraz-Talas-Suusamyr) and the Tup-Kegen road.
Specialists from the road maintenance services of the Ministry of Transport are working around the clock, clearing the roads of snow and applying anti-icing materials, as well as eliminating snow drifts.
