Kyrgyzstan returned 56 tons of onions to Kazakhstan due to document violations

During the phytosanitary control process, a batch of 56 tons of onions was stopped, during which a discrepancy was found between the data in the phytosanitary certificate and the transport documents. Such a deviation is a serious violation of the norms established by the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).

According to the rules of quarantine phytosanitary control approved by the Decision of the Customs Union Commission No. 318, the import of this batch into Kyrgyzstan was prohibited. As a result, the entire cargo was returned to Kazakhstan.

The Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic reminds all importers of the importance of strict compliance with phytosanitary norms and thorough verification of all accompanying documents when importing agricultural products.
