56 tons of onions from Kazakhstan were not allowed into the territory of Kyrgyzstan
On March 9, 2026, at the checkpoint "Ak-Tilek - road", the Chui-Bishkek Department of the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of Kyrgyzstan conducted a quarantine phytosanitary inspection. During this inspection, discrepancies were found in the phytosanitary certificate for 56 tons of onions imported from Kazakhstan.
As a result of the inspection, it became clear that the information contained in the phytosanitary certificate did not match the data specified in the transportation documents.

According to paragraph 3.7 of the Regulation on the procedure for conducting quarantine phytosanitary control on the territory of the Eurasian Economic Union, which was approved by the decision of the Customs Union Commission on June 18, 2010, No. 318, the import of this batch of products into Kyrgyzstan was deemed impossible, and the cargo was returned to the sender.

The Ministry emphasizes the importance of strict adherence to phytosanitary standards when importing agricultural products.
