The military prosecutor's office informed the Kabar agency about the initiation of a criminal case against Urmatbek Shamyrkanov, who previously held the position of Minister of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic.
As part of the investigation, all claims made in the relevant statement will be examined, based on which a legal assessment of the actions of the former minister will be provided.
It is worth noting that today President Sadyr Japarov signed a decree relieving Shamyrkanov of his duties. He had held this position since February 19, 2023.
According to the president's press secretary Askat Alagozov, the former official is suspected of committing a corruption crime related to receiving a bribe.
