The Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan has established a temporary ban on the export of agricultural animals, including cattle, sheep, goats, and horses. This was reported by the government press service.
The decree was signed by the Chairman of the Cabinet, Adylbek Kasymaliev.
The ban will be in effect for six months and does not apply to:
– transit through Kyrgyzstan;
– sport horses being sent to competitions;
– horses given as gifts to states, international organizations, or private individuals;
– live cattle exported by a state operator, namely the open joint-stock company "Kyrgyz Agrokholding," except for livestock raised in the country;
– horses transported by air.
“This measure is aimed at supporting food security and stabilizing prices for food products,” the statement noted.
