The Cabinet introduced a temporary ban on the export of agricultural animals from the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic.
According to information from the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, a temporary ban has been imposed on the export of agricultural animals outside the country. This ban will be in effect for six months.
The export of cattle (code 0102 of the EEU Customs Tariff), horses (code 0101 of the EEU Customs Tariff), as well as sheep and goats (code 0104 of the EEU Customs Tariff) is prohibited, except in the following cases:
– transit through the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic;
– participation of sport horses in competitions;
– horses gifted to foreign states,
international organizations, or private individuals;
– export of live animals carried out by the state operator
– the joint-stock company "Kyrgyz Agrohholding," except for livestock raised in the country;
– export of horses by air transport.
This resolution was signed by the Chairman of the Cabinet, Adylbek Kasymaliev.
The main goal of this document is to ensure food security and stabilize prices for food products in the Kyrgyz Republic.
Relevant instructions have also been given to the appropriate state authorities.
