
A family died as a result of the accident
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan has commented on the car accident that occurred in the USA, involving a citizen of the country. Four people died as a result of this incident.
The accident took place on February 3 on State Road 67 in Indiana, where Kyrgyz citizen Bekzhan Beishkeyev, born in 1995, was involved.
According to preliminary data, four people died as a result of a collision between the truck driven by Bekzhan and a passenger van. One of the participants in the accident was hospitalized with serious injuries.
Currently, state law enforcement agencies are continuing the investigation, and Bekzhan is in custody.
The Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in the USA and the Consulate General in Chicago are monitoring the situation and interacting with American authorities, as well as with the employer of the detained, taking necessary steps in connection with the incident,” the Ministry reported.
The Ministry expresses its sincere condolences to the relatives and friends of the deceased and hopes for the swift recovery of the injured.
It is worth noting that the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has confirmed the detention of Bekzhan Beishkeyev. He has been charged in connection with the car accident that claimed the lives of four people. According to reports, the truck he was driving crossed into oncoming traffic and collided with the van. As a result of the tragedy, members of one family died: 50-year-old Henry Aiker and his sons — 25-year-old Menno, 19-year-old Paul, and 23-year-old Simon Jiro.
