Fatal traffic accident in the USA involving a Kyrgyzstani: comment from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan commented on the traffic accident in the United States involving a citizen of the Kyrgyz Republic, which resulted in the deaths of four people.

The incident occurred on February 3 on State Road 67 in Indiana, where Kyrgyz citizen Bekzhan Beishkeyev, born in 1995, was involved.

According to preliminary data, as a result of the collision between the truck driven by B.B. and a passenger van, four people died, and one person was hospitalized with serious injuries.

Currently, local law enforcement agencies are investigating the incident, and B.B. is in custody.

The Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in the USA and the Consulate General in Chicago are monitoring the situation and interacting with local authorities, as well as with the company where Bekzhan works, taking necessary measures in connection with this incident, as stated in the official statement.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses its sincere condolences to the families and loved ones of the victims and hopes for the speedy recovery of the injured.

It is worth noting that in the United States, Kyrgyz citizen Bekzhan Beishkeyev has been detained and is accused of involvement in this traffic accident, which resulted in the deaths of four people. According to police, his truck crossed into oncoming traffic and collided with the van. This was reported by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Among the deceased was a family: 50-year-old Henry Aiker, 25-year-old Menno Aiker, 19-year-old Paul Aiker, and 23-year-old Simon Jiro.
