In the state of Indiana, USA, a citizen of Kyrgyzstan was detained after a traffic accident that resulted in the deaths of four people. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan.
According to the ministry, the incident occurred on February 3, 2026, on State Road 67. The accident involved a truck driven by 28-year-old Kyrgyz citizen B.B. and a passenger van. As a result of the collision, one person sustained serious injuries and was hospitalized.
Currently, state law enforcement agencies are continuing the investigation, and B.B. is in custody.
The Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in the USA and the Consulate General in Chicago are monitoring the situation. Diplomats are in contact with American authorities and the employer of the detained citizen.
