It has been reported that on February 3, Mayor Nursultan Tajibaev, along with representatives of the relevant services, conducted an inspection of the bridge to assess its current state.
According to information from the mayor's office, this bridge was built in the 1960s by the residents themselves using the method of ashar. Despite its danger, local residents continue to use it.
“The bridge was built by the people themselves. It is not on our balance sheet. We are exploring the possibility of transferring it to the balance of the road service and, if funding is available from the republican budget, we plan to construct a new bridge. The rising water level increases the risk. Currently, emergency services are monitoring the situation,” the mayor noted.
According to the mayor's office, the population of Gulcho is 23,601 people as of 2026.
