In the Bishkek City Hall, a dialogue took place between Mayor Aibek Junushaliev and representatives of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. The press service of the municipality reported this.
During the meeting, joint projects were discussed, including issues of heating and water supply in the capital, as well as Bishkek's participation in the EBRD's "Green Cities" program.
The mayor shared information about significant initiatives being implemented in Bishkek, among which is the creation and operation of an eco-technological plant. Measures for greening and improving air quality were also addressed. In particular, it is planned to plant 19,000 trees in 2025 and about 50,000 seedlings in 2026.
EBRD representatives expressed their readiness to support the implementation of projects included in the General Development Plan for Bishkek until 2050.
"We are grateful for your support. You help us at all stages—from preparation to project implementation. We are open to cooperation and look forward to continuing our joint journey," noted Aibek Junushaliev.
As a result of the meeting, the parties confirmed their desire to continue working together on projects.
