The Mayor of Bishkek Inspected City Facilities and Met with Residents of the Capital

The mayor of the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Aibek Junushaliev, conducted an inspection tour of urban facilities, during which he met with residents.
According to the mayor's office, he visited Burdinskaya Street, where he communicated with local residents and listened to their suggestions and complaints. As a result of this meeting, a decision was made to notify about the necessity to adhere to the construction red line. The Department for Land Use Control was instructed to remove unauthorized structures along the road and to check the legality of buildings at the address: Dostuk St., 11/1.
In 2026, the reconstruction of Burdinskaya Street, which is 1200 meters long, is planned, during which a two-lane road, 2-meter-wide sidewalks, and the renovation of the square will be created.
The next stop was a kindergarten on Kommunarov St., 93, where the mayor got acquainted with the progress of the repair work. The Department of Capital Construction was instructed to avoid unjustified extensions of contracts with contractors and to expedite the completion of work.
In addition, Aibek Junushaliev emphasized the importance of using quality building materials at all social facilities so that successful practices could be extended to other projects.
As part of the investment project, the mayor also visited the wastewater treatment facilities, which are in the process of reconstruction. The total cost of the work is 56 million US dollars. Currently, two reservoirs have already been put into operation, and the automated control system has started functioning.
The design capacity of the facilities is 380 thousand cubic meters per day, and the mayor instructed to explore the possibility of increasing this capacity to 500 thousand cubic meters.
During the tour, the mayor also inspected the construction of a physical culture and health complex in the Maevka residential area. Here he met with residents who raised issues regarding street lighting, public transport operation, and bus stop complexes. Relevant services were instructed to promptly resolve these issues.
At the end of his trip, the mayor urged citizens to familiarize themselves with the Action Plan for the development of territories annexed to the capital for 2026–2030 and to send their suggestions if necessary.
