The Mayor of Bishkek, Aibek Junushaliev, held a meeting with representatives of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), during which joint projects were discussed, as reported by the press service of the mayor's office.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the implementation of various initiatives, including heating and water supply for the capital, as well as the city's participation in the EBRD's "Green Cities" program.
The parties reached an agreement to support key initiatives related to the master plan for the development of Bishkek until 2050, the construction of an eco-technological plant, as well as projects for greening and improving air quality.
In 2025, it is planned to plant 19,000 trees in Bishkek, and in 2026, about 50,000 seedlings are expected to be planted.
Aibek Junushaliev emphasized the importance of EBRD support at all stages of project implementation and expressed hope for further cooperation.
