The production of the national series "Kara Kyrgyz" cost 35 million soms.

At a meeting of the Committee of the Jogorku Kenesh on Science, Education, and Culture, it was reported today that 35 million soms were spent on the production of the series "Kara Kyrgyz."

Representatives of the Ministry of Culture denied earlier published media reports stating that the expenditure amounted to 40 million soms.

Deputy Minister of Culture, Information, Sports, and Youth Policy Marat Tagaev noted that the first episode has already been aired on UTRK. However, as he added, a temporary ban was imposed after the airing of subsequent episodes. This occurred due to identified technical errors, and a commission has been established to address them. After correcting the shortcomings, the series will return to the air.

Deputy Bolot Saginayev expressed the opinion that "Kyrgyzfilm" produces many films with high costs, but the effectiveness of some of them raises questions. He suggested developing public-private partnerships with private production studios that can create films at lower prices than "Kyrgyzfilm," which would contribute to success in cinematography.
