New driver's licenses with a specified validity period are required solely for international travel, as dictated by international standards. For movement within the territory of Kyrgyzstan, old licenses remain fully valid.
Thus, citizens who do not plan to travel outside the country need not worry about replacing their driver's licenses. At the same time, if desired, drivers can independently apply for new licenses.
