The deputy criticized the extension of training periods in driving schools to 10–12 months

At a recent meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, Deputy Bolot Ibragimov raised the issue of the reasons for the increased duration of driver training. He clarified why training can stretch out for as long as 10–12 months.

In response to this question, the director of the State Center for Registration of Motor Vehicles and Driver Personnel, Tynchbek Saidov, stated that this decision was the result of the work of an interagency group aimed at improving the quality of driver training. According to him, the changes were necessary to enhance driver preparation and increase road safety.

Saidov noted that the focus is on developing driving culture and the ability of drivers to cope with psychophysiological loads and stress on the road.
However, Ibragimov expressed confusion regarding such lengthy durations, noting that no other country in the world has similar practices. He believes that the causes of traffic accidents are not related to the insufficient length of training, but rather to the corruption that has existed for many years in the area of issuing driver's licenses.

“People were not just inadequately trained; they often simply bought their licenses. The responsibility for this lies with the state, not with those who are now being forced to learn,” the deputy stated.
Ibragimov added that this approach to training should be reconsidered, as he believes it is completely incorrect.
