Karibek's son fears that the tightening of penalties for drunk driving will hit the family budget.
The deputy noted that the loss of driving licenses could negatively affect the financial situation of families
Ulukbek Karybek uulu, a deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh, expressed his concerns during the discussion on the possible tightening of penalties for driving under the influence of alcohol, stating that the revocation of driving licenses for a period of one to twelve years could significantly impact the financial capabilities of families, especially in rural areas.
In his opinion, such changes could lead to serious social consequences.
In response, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Oktobyr Urmambetov noted that while he understands how these measures could affect family budgets, the main task remains ensuring safety and preserving human lives.
He added that every driver must be aware of the level of responsibility for operating a vehicle while intoxicated, as irresponsible behavior on the roads can lead to tragic consequences, including death and disability.
