In Kyrgyzstan, they plan to reduce the number of state awards
At the meeting of the Committee on Constitutional Legislation, State Structure, Local Self-Government, and the Regulations of the Jogorku Kenesh, held today, a draft law concerning state awards, honorary titles, and prizes of the Kyrgyz Republic was discussed and approved in the first reading. Deputies provided their comments and suggestions on this document.
The initiator of this draft law was the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers.
According to Kuban Kazakov, Deputy Minister of Justice, the new draft law proposes to reduce the number of state awards from 46 to 20. Among the proposed changes are the exclusion of orders such as "Danaker" and "Erdik" in three degrees, as well as the honorary title "People's Poet of the Kyrgyz Republic." Additionally, it is planned to abolish the Honorary Diploma of the Kyrgyz Republic and some second-category honorary titles "Deserved," with their establishment subsequently delegated to the Cabinet of Ministers.
