It was proposed to reduce the number of state awards in Kyrgyzstan from 46 to 20.

At a meeting of the parliamentary committee on constitutional legislation, state structure, and local self-government in Kyrgyzstan, an initiative was proposed to reduce the number of state awards from 46 to 20. Deputy Minister of Justice Kuban Kazakov reported this.

As Kazakov noted, over the past 15 years, 1,034 state awards have been granted in the republic, excluding the "Baatyr Ene" order and the "Ene Danky" medal, as well as 2,837 honorary certificates and 2,215 honorary titles.

He emphasized that the widespread distribution of honorary certificates and titles has led to a decrease in their significance, which necessitates a review of the existing award system.

As a result of the discussion, the deputies approved the draft law "On State Awards, Honorary Titles, and State Prizes of the Kyrgyz Republic" in the first reading and sent it for further consideration in parliament.
