"Foreign company that was engaged in the registration of IMEI codes in Kyrgyzstan has 'fled,' - deputy"
Bekeshev noted that the owners of this company "fled," leaving their employees without full salaries. He expressed concern about the situation, emphasizing that this company no longer exists and that there needs to be a stricter approach to selecting organizations that want to provide state or municipal services. "What to do in such a situation when the company has disappeared, and what will happen to the already registered IMEI codes?" the deputy questioned.
At that moment, the draft Law "On Amendments to the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic 'On State and Municipal Services'" was being discussed in its first reading.
Former Prime Minister Akylbek Japarov mentioned in 2024 the possibility of terminating the contract with this company engaged in the registration of IMEI codes. He emphasized that the company's work causes dissatisfaction among citizens due to a lack of information about the registration process and problems with access to the service. The head of the Cabinet stressed that if necessary, strict measures would be taken, including the termination of the contract.
