Footage of Kamchybek Tashiev in Mecca during the circumambulation of the Kaaba has surfaced online.

A video has appeared on social media showing the head of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB) Kamchybek Tashiev performing Umrah in Mecca. The footage shows him performing Tawaf — circling the Kaaba while carrying a small boy on his shoulders, presumably his grandson.

It is worth noting that several Kyrgyz officials are currently in Mecca for the minor pilgrimage. Among them, in addition to Tashiev, are the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Saudi Arabia Ulukbek Maripov, the head of the President's Office Kanybek Tumanbaev, the former Mufti of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan Maksatbek haji Toktomushev, the head of the State Tax Service Almambet Shykmamatov, as well as the head of the information policy of the President's Administration Daiyrbek Orunbekov and other officials.
