The reasons for this decision have not yet been announced; however, an audio conversation, presumably between Torobaev and his nephew Erkin, was actively discussed on social media, in which accusations were made against the former head of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB) Kamchybek Tashiev and the current Minister of Health Kanibek Dosmambetov regarding coercion to sell land at a reduced price. In turn, Tai-Muras Tashiev, mentioned in the recording, denied all accusations, as did Bakyt Torobaev himself.
