At the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh held on February 18, Bektur Zulpiev, the new representative of the president and government, nominated Jumgalbek Shabdanbekov for the position of head of the State Committee for National Security.

Deputy Yrysbek Atazhanov proposed to approve the nomination without discussion, pointing out the significant amount of work awaiting the new chairman of the SCNS.

As a result of the voting, 79 deputies supported the nomination, while no one voted against it. Of the 88 registered deputies, this decision was made unanimously.
