The epicenter of the earthquake was located 5 kilometers southwest of the village of Sovetskoye, 9 kilometers southeast of the village of Sary-Otek, 18 kilometers southeast of the village of Kyzyl-Korgon, and 42 kilometers northeast of Batken.
