On January 16, during an off-site meeting of the parliamentary groups "Mekenchil" and "Ata Jurt" in the Jogorku Kenesh, Burun Amanova and Mahabat Mavlyanova presented their ideas for addressing the smog problem in Bishkek.

Amanova noted that attention should be paid to the experience of some Chinese cities that have implemented a ban on the use of gasoline vehicles.

Mavlyanova, in turn, suggested introducing subsidies for residents of the private sector so that they could install smokeless heating systems.
