The new waste plant in Bishkek will not be able to handle waste from neighboring districts, - the mayor

The mayor of Bishkek, Aybek Junushaliev, announced on January 16 that the eco-technology plant for processing solid household waste will not be able to handle garbage from neighboring districts of the Chui region. He made this statement during an on-site meeting of the parliamentary groups of the Jogorku Kenesh "Mekentchil" and "Ata Jurt."

According to the mayor, the plant was designed to process 850 tons of waste per day, but currently, its load is 1200-1500 tons.

Moreover, due to active construction work in the city, including road repairs, an additional 2300 tons of construction debris is being generated. The mayor emphasized that the plant does not have the capacity to accept waste from the nearest districts of the Chui region.
