The waste processing plant in Bishkek generates 30 MW of electricity per day, - Ministry of Energy

- As reported on January 16 at a meeting of the parliamentary groups "Mekenchil" and "Ata Jurt" by the First Deputy Minister of Energy Emilbek Ismanov, the plant generates electricity as follows:

- 25 MW is supplied to the Ministry of Energy;

- 5 MW is used for the needs of the plant itself.

It is also worth noting that the electricity generated at the plant is supplied to six villages located around the landfill.

According to Ismanov, the power supply is provided continuously in round-the-clock mode.

The plant, which generates electricity by processing waste, was opened in the north of Bishkek with the participation of President Sadyr Japarov.

The implementation of the project is carried out under an agreement signed in November 2023 by the Mayor of Bishkek Aibek Junushaliev and the company Junxin, with total investments amounting to $95 million.
