At the Kyrgyz-Tajik border, an attempt to smuggle cattle was thwarted

As a result of operations at the Kyrgyz-Tajik border, several attempts to illegally export cattle were stopped. This was reported by the Border Service of Kyrgyzstan.

In particular, a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter was intercepted in the Leilek district, driven by two citizens of Kyrgyzstan. The vehicle contained 12 heads of cattle, for which there were no corresponding documents. Additionally, in the Batken district, 12 unowned cows were discovered that were being prepared for smuggling.

Furthermore, another citizen was detained in the Leilek district while attempting to export 14 heads of cattle, and an attempt to export one bull on a cargo scooter "Muravey" was also thwarted. During the operation, three unidentified individuals attempted to smuggle two more heads of cattle across the border but abandoned the animals and fled the scene when apprehended.

In total, 41 cows were detained. All detained and confiscated cattle were delivered to the units of the State Border Service of Kyrgyzstan for further investigation and processing in accordance with current legislation.
