Several attempts to illegally transport cattle from Kyrgyzstan to Tajikistan have been thwarted
Several attempts at the illegal export of cattle outside the established checkpoints have been recorded along the state border between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, according to information from the Border Service of Kyrgyzstan.
In particular, in the Leilek district, in the area of the Zhany-Zhersky rural administration, border guards from the Leilek border detachment stopped a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vehicle, driven by Kyrgyz citizens B.U.S. (born in 1988) and B.U.K. (born in 1989). During the inspection of the vehicle, 12 heads of cattle were found in its cargo compartment, lacking the necessary veterinary and accompanying documents.
In the Batken region, in the Karim-Bak area, 12 unclaimed heads of cattle were also found, which were being prepared for illegal transportation across the border to neighboring territory.
Additionally, in the International area of the Leilek district, border guards detained a citizen J.Ch.S. (born in 1989), who attempted to illegally drive 14 heads of cattle past the established checkpoints. His actions were classified as a cross-border offense.
In the Sada area of the Leilek district, an attempt to export one bull using a cargo motor scooter "Muravey" was thwarted. As a result, citizens J. uulu O. (born in 1995) and J.T. (born in 1990) were detained.
During further operational activities in this area, border guards also noticed three unknown individuals who were attempting to illegally transport two heads of cattle. Upon attempting to detain them, they left the animals and fled into the territory of the neighboring state.
In total, during these operations, 41 heads of cattle, presumably intended for illegal cross-border transportation, were detained.
The detained individuals and the confiscated cattle were sent to the units of the State Border Service for further investigation and processing in accordance with current legislation.
The record "Several attempts to illegally drive cattle from Kyrgyzstan to Tajikistan have been thwarted" was first published on the K-News website.
